Another architecture delicacy, the Legislation Palace is a monumental square building built in two stages between 1912 and 1918. It a Karl Pařík’s design employing Late Historicism.

In addition to the court’s institutions, the Legislation Palace holds the Law Faculty and the University of Sarajevo Rectorate. The University of Sarajevo inherits the century-long high education tradition of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has been founded in 1531 with the establishment of Ghazi Husrev-Bey’s Hanikah (College of Sufi Philosophy, Islamic and other sciences), ranked among other top international colleges.
