Sarajevo Haggadah
Sarajevo Haggadah is an illustrated Jewish handwritten manuscript originating from medieval Spain. It was created as a wedding gift, but the author remains unknown.
Location: Midtown
Due to the richness of miniatures, initials, margins, illustrations, zoomorphic ornaments and depicted characters, it is one of the most beautiful such manuscripts in the world. It belonged to a Jewish family of Kohen who granted it as a gift to the National Museum, the owner of the Haggadah since 1894. The Haggadah is displayed in a special room.
