It is one of the most beautiful buildings in pseudo-Moorish style, designed by Karlo Pařík.

This monumental building with impressive façade, richly painted interior decorations done by Hans Niemeczek, two courtyards, amazingly resembles the famous Alhambra, Spain. From 1949, the headquarters of the Sarajevo Museum were based in this building, and since 1993 the Faculty of Islamic Studies.
